Yes. At Empower Behavioral Health, we can incorporate GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing to help guide psychotropic medication selection. GeneSight analyzes how your DNA may affect your body’s response to certain psychiatric medications, providing additional insight into which treatments may be better tolerated or more effective.
While testing is not required, it can be a useful tool if you’ve experienced side effects or limited success with previous medications. Medication decisions are always made collaboratively, taking into account your history, preferences, and overall treatment goals.tem description
